With two draws and one defeat, Russia are leaving the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
In their last match, the Russian side was quick to open the scoring but a mistake by the goalkeeper tied the game.
Alexander Kokorin powered in with a wonderful header in the 6th minute but Islam Slimani equalized in the second half to see his team progress into the quarterfinals where Algeria will face Germany.
Earlier, Russia lost to Belgium 0-1 and drew against South Korea 1-1.
The team's manager Fabio Capello blamed the referee for the defeat and said he would like to stay as Russia's coach.
