New Tourism Regulations Are Being Considered

The Federation Council urges the Government to accelerate works on preparation of amendments to the Federal Law About bases of tourist activities in the Russian Federation in terms of the division of powers between the federal center and the Federation subjects.

      This is stated in the recommendations of the Expert Council on Tourism about "Legislative provision of development of resorts and tourist and recreational zones in the Russian Federation", organized by the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, the press service of the Federation Council reports.

      Profile ministries and relevant regions of the Federation are recommended to take actions on improvement of transport accessibility to the resorts of federal importance; consider an action plan ("roadmap") on promotion of federal resorts;  develop a set of additional measures aimed at improving of the state environmental supervision and enforcement of the Russian legislation in the field of land and property relations on the territories of the resorts and therapeutic areas.
