Warner Bros. Suggests Fedor Bondarchuk to Screen the Odyssey

The Warner Bros. company wants Fedor Bondarchuk to become the film director of The Odyssey.

The large-scale movie will be based on the same-name epic poem by the Ancient Greek poet Homer narrating about the Greek tsar Odysseus coming back home after 10 years of the Trojan war.

The film script will be written by Jeremy Doner, who authored the series Murder. Gianni Nunnari, Paul Heath and Michael Schlicht will be the film producers, the Deadline reports.

The edition reminds of Bondarchuk's film Stalingrad with the budget of 30 million dollars and points to the film director’s great popularity in Russia and China, which are two large markets that the western distributors always reckon on.
