A private museum of the writer Sergey Dovlatov has been founded in Berezino Village of the Pskov Region.
It was here where the writer lived when working as a guide in the Pushkin Memorial Estate in Mikhaylovskoye.
The well-known Pskov journalist Yury Moiseyenko, a researcher of Sergey Dovlatov’s creativity has reported about it.
In 1976-1977, when the writer worked as a guide in Mikhaylovskoye, he had to rent a room in a house of a local forester in the Berezino Village.
To keep the house built in 1912 from further destruction, the project initiators have supported it with a metal framework, improved the plot and constructed a little stage.
The museum will be opened for admirers of Sergey Dovlatov’s writings from July 5.
Recently the street in New York, where Sergey Dovlatov stayed in the last 12 years of his life in immigration has been named after him.
