Torino 2006. Unattainable Plushchenko.

All Russian sport fans and even those not interested in sports praised our hockey players who beat Sweden 5:0. This came as a pleasant surprise, because just the day before yesterday Russia lost to Slovaks 3:5.
And then came our next gold medal at the XX Olympic Winter Games: Evgeny Plushchenko showed how its really done in figure skating. His flawless performance set a new world record: Evgeny got 258,33 points combined for short program and free program. Thus he has outdone himself the previous world record belong to him also (251,75 points in 2004 at Grand-Prix in Beijing). In his interview to Evgeny said that Russian hockey victory over Swedes helped him summon his strength.
Russia also celebrated the bronze medal of our speed skating team. Just a little time detached Yekaterina Abramova, Varvara Barysheva, Galina Likhacheva, Yekaterina Lobysheva, and Svetlana Vysokova from silver medal and maybe gold, but nonetheless its a great achievement for Russian team.
