Inflation In June Went Up

 Inflation at an annual rate in Russia rose up to 7.8% in June 2014. The inflation for May was recorded at 7.6%. This was stated on the website of Federal Service of State Statistics. 

      The inflation at a monthly rate slowed from 0.9 to 0.6% in June compared to May, while the inflation rose by 0.4% as against the analogous index in the previous year. 

The Ministry of Economic Development earlier predicted the inflation at an annual rate at the level of 7.7% in June. The agency stated that the annual inflation in the country would reach its peak in June, and after that its index would decline. The official forecast of the Ministry for inflation in 2014 is 6%. 

The objective of the Central Bank is to reduce the inflation to 4% in a three-year term. This was stated by the Chairperson of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina at the Banking Congress in St. Petersburg.
