TV Series about Valery Obodzinsky to be Filmed in Russia

Production of the new 8-serial movie about the Soviet singer Valery Obodzinsky has been launched in Russia.

      The TV series These Eyes in Front of Me will tell the dramatic life story of one of the most talented Soviet singers of the 1970s. The popularity of Valery Obodzinsky in the USSR was comparable to the fame of Elvis Presley in the USA. The shootings will be started in August, and are planned to have been completed by the New Year. Thus, there is a chance that viewers will see the movie in 2015.

      The role of Valery Obodzinsky will be played by Alexey Barabash.  His hits will be rerecorded, because the phonograms of most of the selected songs leave much to be desired. For this purpose singers with voices similar to the captivating tenor of Valery Obodzinsky will be invited. Besides, the film soundtrack will present plenty of atmospheric music of different epochs; after all, the movie will cover nearly half a century - from the 1950s to the 1990s.

      By the way, a biopic TV-series about the singer Pyotr Leshchenko played by Konstantin Khabensky will be released soon.
