Monument to the First Russian Nobel Prize Winner Unveiled in Ufa

Restored monument to the well-known Russian physiologist Academician Ivan Pavlov has been unveiled in Ufa.

      The bust was returned to its place by Hospital No. 8 in Ordzhonikidze District of Ufa on the day of 165th anniversary since the birth of the scientist.

      Ivan Pavlov was the first Russian Nobel Prize winner in the field of medicine and physiology.

      The monument to Academician Pavlov was created back in 1974 and it was timed to his 125 anniversary. Upon restoration Pavlov's plaster bust has been set up on a granite pedestal.
