The territory of the natural and historical park “Kuzminki” will be extended four-fold, as the mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin stated during the inspection of the progress of works on the park improvement.

      “The area of “Kuzminki” will grow all in all from 10 hectares to 40 hectares and more than that at the expense of protected areas” - the mayor noted. According to Sergei Sobyanin, the park attendance has grown considerably. The works in “Kuzminki” have been carried out for almost two years. During this time they changed the asphalt, equipped a skate park, improved lawns and flower beds. It is expected that this year the updated “Kuzminki” will be visited by more than 2.5 million of residents of Moscow and guests of the city.

      In addition, this year the improvement of the nearby parks “Sadovniki” and “Arshinovskogo” will begin. A total of about 100 public spaces of the city will be improved. The list of major projects includes ENEA, ways to the Olympic Village, Sirenevy Garden. Until the end of the summer more than 50 public parks will be improved.
