The researchers more often come to the conclusion that the main target audience of travel agencies are women, the Association of Tour Operators reported. This data is confirmed by the online Biletix agency: women travel more often than men.
After the analysis of more than 25,000 tickets for the current summer season Biletix concluded that the planning of family travels and, in particular, the purchase of airline tickets are women’s responsibilities. Approximately 55% of bookings are made by women. This year the most popular summer destinations among the girls of 18-25 years old who book flight tickets and plan travels include Barcelona, Burgas, Simferopol, Tivat and Sochi. This age group shows the maximum disparity in each direction between male and female tourists - girls dominate over boys - 64% vs. 36%. The girls in the age group of 25-35 years old who prefer Burgas, Barcelona, Simferopol, Tivat and Alicante, at that the predominance of girls over boys has reduced to 59% vs. 41%. The 35-50-year-old female tourists prefer such destinations as Burgas, Simferopol, Sochi, Tivat and Alicante, the ratio of women and men is 56% vs. 44%.
