Russia's First Monument to Father Set Up in Tyumen

Russia's first monument to the father was unveiled in the Tenisty garden square in Tyumen on the City Day.

      The monument became possible thanks to fundraising among Tyumen residents and enterprises, which resulted in 850 thousand rubles.

      The fiberglass sculpture is a composition of three figures:  the father with his daughter in his arms and his son next to him. The monument was made in SibDesign Service JSC according to the the project by Vladimir Zolotukhin.

      The unveiling of the monument was accompanied with the festival Paternity is a Gift with contests among present and would-be fathers.
