Kazan became one of the most popular summer holiday destinations for the Russian families. Rankings are based on the amount of hotel bookings for two adults with children in the summer holiday season from 1 July to 31 August, the press service of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.

      Top 10 most popular cities in Russia for traveling with children, except St. Petersburg and Moscow, this summer includes Sochi, Kazan, Novgorod, Suzdal, Anapa, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Yaroslavl, Simferopol and Yeisk. The families come to Kazan in summer for average of 3 days and spend for living in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan about 3.7 thousand rubles a day.

      According to the rankings, Anapa is ahead of other Russian cities for the duration of summer family holidays with children: 12 days on average, and Nizhny Novgorod is the cheapest city for living: 2.1 thousand rubles a day. The Moscow Oblast hotels are the most expensive for family summer holidays: more than 4.7 thousand rubles a day.
