Efficiency of Nuclear Reactors Improved

Researchers from Novosibirsk suggest a technique to make nuclear reactors 110% efficient.

Scienticts developed new mixing lattices for fuel assemblies, which contain nuclear fuel and are located in the active zone of the reactor. The development allows more effective use of the coolant and heat pick up from fuel elements grows up.

New development increases efficiency of nuclear reactors to 110% and makes fuel assemblies more safe due to reduction of mechanical load. New mixing lattices have successfully passed tests.
