The elections of the green symbol are held in Mari El.

      According to the results of the voting, the leaders are lily-of-the-valley (it has received 843 votes), silver birch (796 votes) and common juniper (537 votes), as the website of the government of the republic reports.

      The voting was attended by the total of 2683 people, that gave the republic the 28th line among all Russian regions by the number of voters from the number of people in the region. The voting for the green symbol of the Republic of Mari El is held at the website of the all-Russian patriotic action “The Alley of Russia” by the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and the “Priroda” (“Nature”) Foundation.

      The symbolic plant will represent the Republic of Mari El in the Pobedy Park in the city of Sevastopol, where “The Alley of Russia” will be created together with the representatives of the 85 regions of Russia, as well as in all environmental projects of the Russian Federation.
