Exhibition of Artist Eduard Shageyev to Run in Moscow

The D.E.V.E Gallery opens Eduard Shageyev’s personal exhibition Memory Retrospective.

The upsurge of Eduard Shageyev’s creative effort coincided with the beginning of Perestroika. From 1985 new hopes and new social requests emancipated the artist, and spurred him into the ways of self-expression unusual for that time.

Surrealism based on irony and absurd has been progressing and transforming in his creativity for 40 years. Eroticism pervading his paintings and graphic art works is one of the key features of his creativity. Combined with the author’s irony it gives rise to innovative, unusual solutions formulas and themes.

The exhibition will be held from August 15 till August 21.
