Pirogovskoe Water Reservoir and Moscow Canal are among the most dangerous places for swimming in Moscow oblast, as the head of the department of the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Central Regional Centre of the Emergencies Ministry of the Russian Federation Andrei Dunkin reported.

      “Pirogovskoe Water Reservoir and Moscow Canal bring the majority of death cases. Ships and “Rockets” sail there” - A. Dunkin said at a press conference on Tuesday. The first deputy head of the Central Regional Centre of the Emergencies Ministry of the Russian Federation Rishat Nurtdinov reported that more than 50 employees of the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels in Moscow oblast are on patrol and conduct raids every day, about 30 floatation devices are at their disposal. 77 beaches were commissioned on the territory of Moscow oblast, he said.

      Nurtdinov noted that 23 people drowned in Moscow oblast in this season. The list of open equipped beaches in Moscow oblast can be found on the website of the Directorate of the Emergencies Ministry of the Russian Federation for Moscow oblast, he noted.
