Alexander Mitta to Consult New Version of The Crew

Alexander Mitta, who directed The Crew back in 1979, will be the consultant of the same-name new film.

The modern version of The Crew will star Vladimir Mashkov and Danila Kozlowski as the leads.

“It is in no way repetition of my film and cannot be called its remake” – Alexander Mitta points out. “My work serves as the foundation for a new plot with a very interesting new scenario. The film will be directed by Nikolay Lebedev, my long-term friend and student”, he adds.

The new Crew has been supported by the Cinema Fund on a gratuitous basis and got the highest rating of the advisory council. The film is expected to be released in the spring of 2016.
