Exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary since the beginning of World War I will be held in the New Manege.
The event is titled Look into the Eyes of War. Russia in World War I in Newsreel, Photos, and Documents.
The exposition includes episodes of archive films, songs of the early 19th century, photos, military maps, paintings from collections of the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery and the Imperial Military Museum.
State-of-the-art interactive and multimedia technologies have been used in the exposition.
The production director is Pavel Lungin, whereas the exhibition space is designed by the Evgeny and Kirill Asse and Nadezhda Korbut.
The exhibition includes canvasses by Vassily Vasnetsov, Pavel Filonov, D. Severini, R. Karlin, P. Nash, etc.
The project concept is reconstruction of the chronological scale illustrating the entire chain of tragic events of that time.
The exhibition runs till September 28.
