The country house, where the film director Andrey Tarkovsky stayed in the 1970s may become a new point on the sightseeing map of the Ryazan Region.

The regional authorities intend to make the cinematographer’s country house a cultural heritage site.|

Andrey Tarkovsky saw that brick house for the first time in the Myasnoy Settlement in 1968, when visiting parents of his spouse Larisa Kizilova in the Ryazan Region. The film director’s favourite cottage was taken care of by his relatives only, and now the regional administration has become interested in making it a place of tourist attraction.

Presently there are two museums of Andrey Tarkovsky: one in the Zavrazhye Village of the Kostroma Region and the town of Yuryevets in the Ivanovo Region.
