The airline company “Siberian Light Aviation” (“SiLA”) carried out the first passenger flight from Irkutsk to Olkhon Island in the Baikal Lake.

      The aircraft AN-28 designed for 17 seats transported 12 people, in addition to the crew and technician engineers. The flight lasted for 1 hour and 5 minutes. The plane departed from the capital of the Baikal region at 10:30 and successfully landed in the island village of Khuzhir at 11:35. Flight duration depends on weather conditions. During the summer the flights to Olkhon are carried out twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays. In the future, the flight schedule will vary depending on the passenger flow. The tickets for the flight “Irkutsk-Olkhon” can be purchased in all air ticket offices. The cost varies from 3 to 5 thousand roubles.
