Hot weather set in the Altai Republic and large masses of people head for refreshment at the water bodies.
EMERCOM in the Republic of Altay reminds citizens that for the safety of children and adults during swimming, two beaches were set up in the region: "Yelanda" in Gorno-Altaisk and "Rublyovka" in the village of Anos in Chemalsky Disctrict. In addition, there were organized 80 comfortable public recreation sites near the water, the official web portal of the Republic of Altai reports.
The head of the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor Leonid Shchuchinov noted that the lake which is under construction in the "Altay Valley" is not suitable for swimming. Constructors still work there; there are no lifeguards and, in general, it is dangerous to enter this reservoir, which has not yet been put into operation. The office monitors the reservoirs: it constantly takes samples, carries out analyzes. Department specialists took 67 water samples for microbiological examination and also conduct tularemia and cholera studies. Since no pathogenic organisms and infectious agents have been detected in the water, nowhere the bans on swimming are imposed. At the same time, the agency recommends swimming only in specially equipped places. Good analyzes were also obtained from the "Biryuzovaya Katun" and from Aya Lake. According to the last year's monitoring results Kamenistoye Lake in the Kosh-Agach District was found the cleanest in the region.
