"Feasts in Manors Situated near Moscow: Lublino, Kuskovo, Ostankino, Arkhangelskoye" exhibition launched in the manor of Lyublino, will introduce to each visitor the intricacies of this integral and important part of high-society life and will let them to feel as guests at a luxury reception, the press service of the Moscow State Integrated Art and Historical Architectural and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve reports.
It is known that a special spirit of rivalry once reigned in Moscow and Moscow Oblast, when every Moscow aristocrat tried to overshadow others with the luxury of his party. The feast was an illustration of the status and wealth of the manor owner; the extent of his closeness to the court, as well as awareness of fashion, architecture and art matters. Around 400 exhibits from the collections of museums of Moscow manors will help visitors to feel this. The exhibits feature the unique collections of china and glassware, which constituted the table appointments of the 18th century Sheremetyev feasts, the original memorial musical instruments and props used in the Ostankino serf theater.
