Zenit St Petersburg’s coach André Villas-Boas told journalists his team’s goal is to get through to the quarterfinals.

      Group C features SL Benfica, FC Zenit, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, AS Monaco FC.

      André Villas-Boas was appointed Zenit’s manager after the dismissal of Luciano Spalletti.

      Appointed no December 10, 2009, Roma's hero went on to win the Premier League title twice but failed to help the side advance on the international arena.

      • Zenit beat Leverkusen in the quarter-finals of their victorious 2007/08 UEFA Cup campaign, largely thanks to a 4-1 first-leg win in Germany. The Russian club progressed despite a 1-0 home defeat.
