The student Islam Kartoyev from Ingushetia has rescued a woman with her baby from the inflamed hostel of the Saratov Law Academy. 

      The 19-year-old man comes from the city of Malgobek in Ingushetia. He is a third year student of the Saratov State Law Academy.

      “The fire started on the 2nd floor. I and my friend Ismail ran up to the building, which was caught in flames. We guess that there could be some people in the hostel. Therefore we rushed into the building and checked it all, from the ground to the 4th floor. On the 3rd floor, which was already surrounded with flames, I saw a woman with a baby. I suggested her give me the baby, but she refused. Then I immediately took them out of the building” - Islam Kartoyev reported to journalists.

      It turned out later that the woman with her baby rescued by Islam is the wife of one of the academy teachers. The fire was extinguished by 49 firefighters with 13 pieces of equipment. 20 square meters of the building were badly damaged by the fire.
