The work on the transfer of the lands hosting parks, miniparks, alleys and other green zones to the status of recreational areas began in Krasnodar on behalf of the mayor Vladimir Evlanov. This measure will prevent the construction of extra facilities on these sites.
Now these lands, according to urban-planning documents, can be used for construction or placement of infrastructure facilities, as the press service of the city reports. The city Department of Architecture and Urban Planning has already begun preliminary work on amendments to the general plan of development of the city, according to the website of Russian Business Consulting. Its outcome will be the change in the functional purpose of land hosting green zones but not having an official status of recreational lands. According to the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, the territory of Krasnodar currently has several dozen of green zones established on the lands which can be used for construction or placement of infrastructure facilities, according to the urban-planning documents. As it was previously reported, the works on improvement of the three new green zones will start in Krasnodar the near future.
The miniparks will appear on Krasnaya Street near the Musical Theatre, on the intersection of Krasnaya and Gavrilova Streets, as well as on the place of the demolished house on 1 Stavropolskaya Street.
