New Parks Will Appear In Rostov-on-Don

 It is planned to construct three new parks in Rostov-on-Don.

      One of them will be located on Veresayev Street in Proletarsky District; the second one in Leventsovsky neighborhood; Glasgow Park is expected to be built in the Pervomaysky District. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Social Affairs Sergey Sukhariyev at the press conference. According to Sergei Suhariyev, there are 8 culture and recreation parks in Rostov-on-Don. In particular, two parks: of the City of Pleven and of October Revolution are in long-term lease. The total area of the city parks is 89.3 hectares.

      At the moment, the summer stage and the office building facades are being renovated in Ostrovsky Park. Before the year ends it is planned to complete the reparation of the 2nd cascade stairs in the Druzhba Park, reports. Street furniture to be installed in the Park of May 1. As the deputy mayor said, the changes are expected in Maxim Gorky Park as well. Documents, which grant it the status of an object of cultural heritage with protection zones, have already been prepared. In this regard it is needed to restore the park's historical appearance, first and foremost, the observatory and fountains.
