The Car Inspection proposes to introduce the new rules in 2015. The bill designed by STSI and providing for the introduction of fee for the exam for obtaining a driver’s license is published at the web-portal regulation.gov.ru. The Car Inspection does not officially disclose the amount of the proposed fee, explaining it with the possible adjustment of the amount. According to “Kommersant”, the Car Inspection offers to charge 1 thousand roubles for the theoretical part of the exam, 3.5 thousand roubles for the practical one (1.5 thousand roubles for the “site” and 2 thousand roubles - for the “city”).
The fee for the production of a plastic driver’s card will rise from the current 800 to 2 thousand roubles in 2015. STSI are upset that the drivers can take the exams for driver’s license an infinite number of times, the publication noted. In 2013 the agency recorded 10.1 million attempts to pass the driver’s test, the license was received only by 2.2 million people. In the past the citizens tried to pass the “city” driving 3.8 million times, the new fee would allow the budget to earn 7.6 billion roubles only on this exam, as STSI representatives noted.
