The Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val opens the exhibition Magic of Body. Painting and Sculpture of the 18th - 20th centuries.

      The exhibition project is dedicated to the nude genre in the Russian fine arts. A naked model was the basis of art education, whereas the study of its expressiveness enriched creative thought and incited into searching new artistic solutions.

      The museum collection shows the subject in a broad range of time and genre: from works of the Russian academic school of the 18th century to variations of the 20th century, from mythological and biblical scenes to genre compositions.

      The exhibition will take place from September 19 till December 14.
