The Russian short-length film Second Wind directed by Sergey Tsyss has taken the first prize at the Metricamente Corto Film Festival.
It is the 51st prize this Russian film has won at international film festivals.
The Second Wind is a short-length sci-fi film about a person who is left all alone in the desolate world and makes a new flower of an aluminum jar and plants it into the dry ground every day.
The movie has already won at a number of European film festivals, including The Silver Film in the Bosnian Srebrenica, the SILAFEST ecological film festival in Serbia and AROUCA in Portugal.
887 works from 52 countries participated in the competition program of the Metricamente Corto Film Festival. The award ceremony took place in the Italian city of Trebaseleghe on Sunday evening.
