Baikal region expects a million of tourists annually

On the 11 of September in the framework of the 3rd economic forum there was held a conference Tourism and investment potential of Baikal region.
       It considered the issues of tourism development in the Irkutsk region, Buryatia Republic and the transnational recreation territory of Baikal - Mongolian Asia. As the experts forecast by the year 2007 the Baikal region will be visited by around 1 mln tourists annually.
       The existence of famous brands such as Siberia, Transsib and Baikal provide opportunities for intensive development of tourism.
