City Day Of Samara

To its 428th anniversary widely celebrated last weekend, Samara received three truly luxurious gifts, Samarskaya Newspaper reports. Historical justice triumphed on Polevoy Descent: a long-awaited monument to the city's founder, Prince Grigory Zasekin, was set there, the need for which was discussed by all who are not indifferent to the city.

Another surprise was done by the archaeologists. On Khlebnaya Square was found a unique artifact: the fortress from the beginning of the 18th century. Well, very soon in its entire original splendor Putilov’s mansion house will appear, which strikes not only with its architectural value, but also with a rich biography. Now, it wouldn't be easy to forget about three epochs in the life of Samara, most important thing is that it still can be touched.
