Mikhail Tarkovsky's "Frozen Time" opens the 2nd Festival of tourist and sports films in the Altai region.
Russian writer and traveler Mikhail Tarkovsky is one of the authors of the four-part film "Happy People", shot in 2004-2005 in the village of Bakhta of Turukhansky District of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The "Frozen Time" was filmed by the author in cooperation with the Krasnoyarsk directors Vladimir Vasiliev and Alexander Kalashnikov and is dedicated to the memory of his grandmother.
The Second Festival of tourist and sports films "Altai Krai: The Place of Power" will be held on 4-5 October, 2014 in Biysk Disctrict. This year the festival is supported by the Federal Tourism Agency. Faculty of Mass Communications, Philology and Political Science of Altai State University takes active participation in the festival. Last year there were received more than 70 works for the festival from 12 regions of Russia. This year more works are expected. The festival will feature films from other countries as well.
