The historical coach house in the Omsk Fortress has been demolished.

      Workers are digging a deep ditch on the site of the destroyed monument to build a restaurant and a cafй there.

      City defenders railed against the demolition of the historical coach house in the territory of the monumental Omsk Fortress. However, as of the end of September, 2014 workers started its dismantling. One of the activists has reported about it. The commercial real estate objects will be put into operation in 2016.

      At the same time the builder operates within the confines of the law. The construction of 1900 was in a dilapidated condition. The new restaurant building will be based on the historical looks of the coach shed.

      Archeologists carry out excavation works at the site.

      It is a reminder that public men arranged a meeting to protect the historical construction in the Omsk Fortress in July, 2014. They demanded the coach house to be recognized a monument. They emphasized the fact that earlier the authorities had intended to preserve the historical building.
