In Moscow downtown another pedestrian area will appear. As it was told in the municipal administration, a park which will be integrated with neighboring Hermitage Garden will be laid out next to the building of the former Novo-Yekaterininsky hospital.

To do this, the wall between the hospital and the Uspensky Lane will be demolished, but the lane itself will be turned into pedestrian area.

As administration has explained, during the renovation of the former Novo-Yekaterininsky hospital a park will be created there. After the demolition of the wall, enclosing the hospital area from the Uspensky Lane and after closing the lane for drivers, there will be created a pedestrian area integrated with Hermitage Garden.

According to the press-secretary of the Prefecture of the Central Administrative District Pavel Bolshunov, currently about 70 public spaces are landscaped or  being prepared for the landscaping in accordance with the city standards. "In general, the approach to the fences and solid fences has changed in the city. We try either to take them away or to replace with "transparent" wrought-iron fences," he noted.
