Merging of humans and the animal world just six kilometers away from the Kremlin was the main idea of "The Embassy of Nature" project, which won the international competition on developing the Sokolniki concept, the press service of the Moscow construction complex reports.
According to the park development concept, its area is planned to be divided into three parts: the specially protected area; forest park and the regular park. So, the "wildlife corridor" will stretch from the Moose Island National Park to the Sokolniki Park center. For the movement of animals is planned to create special tunnels. In thematic avenues summer play fountain will appear; as well as winter skating rink; media library; cinemas and libraries. It will also be equipped with a place for tea and picnics; forest walks; music and dances. In the education cluster the incubator with young deer, moose, hares and foxes will be placed, as well as open and enclosed greenhouses, workshops, lecture hall, a shop, farm goods and cafes. It is also planned to build an eco-friendly hotel on the trees for visitors. The number of sports facilities will increase.
The existing exhibition center will keep developing. The automobile traffic system in the park will be revised.
