The tourist flow to the Tver Oblast will double to 3 million tourists a year due to the creation of Zavidovo special economic zone (SEZ), where it is planned to construct a large all-season resort.

There will be built a family year-round natural-entertainment resort. Tver Obast presented the SEZ project at the international investment forum in Sochi. According to Mr. Shevelev, the project implementation will lead to opening in Zavidovo of 6,000 work places. "The main tourist flow, including foreigners, heads from Moscow to St. Petersburg. We want to create conditions so that we can catch these tourists or to make so that the way from Moscow to St. Petersburg wouldn't be profitable by the railroad without stopping by us," the head of the region said.
