Rosneft has closed the deal to buy Bishkek Oil Company, says an official press release on its website.

      “The framework agreement was signed in Bishkek on February 19, 2014 by Rosneft Head Igor Sechin and General Director of the Bishkek Oil Company Alexander Niyazov”, says the statement.

      Rosneft acquired a 100 percent share in the Bishkek Oil Company Group, a leader in the oil products market in the Kyrgyz capital, including a retail network and a number of infrastructure assets.

      Rosneft now gets a robust market position in the promising Kyrgyz oil products market, “enhancing marketing channels for its high value-added products,” adds the statement.
