The beginning of the implementation of the Russian program for Moon exploration by automatic stations was transferred from 2016 to 2018, as the director of the Space Research Institute (SRI) of RAS Lev Zelyony said.
“They were transferred from 2016 to 2018. These are “Moon-Globe” and “Orbital Moon”. But we don’t want to let them be transferred any further. It is important that we had three moon projects in this decade: “Moon -25”, “Moon-26” and “Moon-27” – Zelyony told to the reporters during “The Days of Space Science” in Moscow on Friday. He noted that such terms are defined in the Federal Space Program proposed by Roscosmos. The scientist also added that it was decided to reduce the number of devices on the “Moon -25” (“Luna-25”) in order to facilitate the landing on the moon surface.
