Tour of Cannibal Corpse Discomfited by Orthodox Activists in Russia

Concert of the American Death-Metal-Band Cannibal Corpse has been cancelled in St. Petersburg.

The band’s concerts were early sabotaged in Ufa, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow. Their songs were checked by OFAS Russia in Chelyabinsk, and yet it did not prevent the concert from taking place.

As eyewitnesses report, there occurred skirmishes between outraged fans and anti-riot police near the Kosmonavt Club in the Bronnitskaya Street, where musicians were expected to perform in St. Petersburg. “Orthodox activists” earlier reported about attempts to discomfit the band’s concert.

According to various information sources, about 700 people waited for the concert there and had to settle for just an autograph session with the musicians.
