Engineers plan to launch production of X-ray generators for medical tomographs in Russian cities of Podolsk and Zelenograd in a couple of years.

      Researchers currently work on construction of the metalloceramic X-ray tube, containing a rotating monocrystal anode and nanocomposite catode. New X-ray machine, 90% of which is made of home-produced parts, will make several images within a very short period of time with very little exposure of a patient to the X-ray radiation.

      New X-ray machine will help save money for the whole medical industry since all tomographs and X-ray generators now come from abroad.
