Andrei Rublyov Museum of Old Russian Culture and Art holds the exhibition Great Russian First Pressman Ivan Fedorov.
The exhibition is timed to the 450th anniversary since the publication of the book The Apostle by the well-known Russian printing pioneer. The release of the first dated Russian printed book – The Apostle – was the greatest event in Russian culture and marked the beginning of the new era.
The visitors will see the design of ancient book monuments, which determined the appearance of the Russian book, trace development of book illustration throughout more than three centuries, and see revival of early publishing traditions in the early 20th century.
The exhibition runs from October 23 till January 21, 2015.
