Family Saved from Fire by CID Officer in Severodvinsk

Fire broke out on the ground floor of House 7a, Karl Marx Street in Severodvinsk on November 4.

The day before the husband and wife living in this apartment with two small children took alcoholic drinks. In the morning the husband fell asleep with a lighted cigarette.

Having experienced the burning smell, the parents woke up, opened the windows and started calling for help. An officer of the criminal investigation department was passing by and came to the rescue. He pulled out a 5-month-old girl, a 4-year-old boy and their parents through the window. He took them by car to the hospital.

The baby girl suffered bad burns and the doctors are presently fighting for her life.
