Bakhrushin Museum Celebrates Shakespeare's Jubilee

The Bakhrushin Theatre Museum has opened two exhibitions for the 450th anniversary since the birthday of William Shakespeare.

The first exhibition under the title Photographing Shakespeare: 150 Years of Stage Photography is held jointly with the Globus Theater. Visitors will see a range of photos from the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum; the pictures were taken from the 19th century up to nowadays.

The exhibition Backstage: Actors in Photos by Simon Annand presents the world of make-up rooms, where one can find actors and actresses well-known for their part in Shakespearean plays.

Both the exhibitions run at the address 31/12, Bakhrushin Street (not far from Paveletskaya metro station) till January 15, 2015.
