The exhibition providing information on the 53 most important historical and cultural monuments of Chelyabinsk has been prepared in the Regional History Museum for the first time.
The exposition demonstrates cultural heritage objects: what they looked like yesterday and what is their state today. The creation of a special exhibition involved newly made photographs, as well as the photographs taken from the collections of the Chelyabinsk Regional History Museum, photographs from the archives of the Centre for Historical and Cultural Heritage and the publishing house “Kamenny Poyas”.
The exposition was created on the basis of the materials of monitoring of cultural heritage of the city preformed by the participants of the initiative group “ArkhiStrazh” and the online community “Chelchel”. The visitors can not only see the buildings valuable for its history and exterior, but also learn what role they played in the life of the city that once flowed in the historic buildings of Chelyabinsk.
