The Green Theatre Reconstruction

The reconstruction of the Green Theatre in the Park of Culture and Leisure named after October Revolution in Rostov-on-Don will be completed in 2017.

After the restoration the theatre will regain its historic appearance. “During warm season it will be used for cultural and leisure activities. The audience hall will accommodate 1,200 people, and the area of the scene will make up 300 square meters. As for today, the main difficulty is to find a project of the sample of 1956, in order to reconstruct the theatre by it.

The city Directorate of Culture was commissioned to help the investor in this issue” - the Directorate of Information Policy of the Mayor’s Office of Rostov reported. In addition, the project initiators must prepare a thematic roadmap for regaining of the lost areas of the Green Theatre and create a concept for its reconstruction, given the status of a cultural heritage object.
