The Winzavod Modern Art Centre has opened The Forgotten War art project, which is the largest one in Russia.
The project is dedicated to the most important event of the world history - the 100th anniversary since the break-up of World War I (1914-1917).
The well-known Russian and foreign artists will provide their vision and feeling of the war, often considering it from an unexpected side. Installations and photos, large-scale panels and videos, assemblage sculptures and sculptural compositions will present a wide range of approaches to interpretation of the well-known historic events. The all-planetary approach to illustration of the world history integrates the artists’ works and is the keynote of the entire project.
The exhibition runs from November 15 till January 11, 2015.
