An ancient bottle with banknotes inside was found in a private household of Azov in the Rostov Region.

      The house owners decided to make an extension to the house and in the course of excavation works came across a range of bottles, with one of them tightly closed.

      Since Azov is an ancient town, the house owners decided to hand the find over to archeologists. The bottle kept banknotes from 100 to 1000 rubles worth. Though it was not a great amount of money for those olden days, the find is of important historical value.
