The city railway station “Ryazan II” was officially commissioned after an extensive renovation and modernization in Ryazan.
The railway station “Ryazan II” accepts trains from Moscow on the southern and the northern directions - Vladikavkaz, Adler, Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, etc, and the trains heading to the near abroad countries - Dushanbe, Khujand. More than 80 transit passenger trains a day pass through this place during summer season.
The building of the railway station “Ryazan II” was constructed in 1967. The reconstruction was carried out in two stages. The works included a complete dismantling of the rooms of cash registers for long distance train tickets, which were in disrepair, and the repair of the waiting room, suburban hall, basement rooms; the utility networks were changed, and the life support systems were upgraded. In addition, the reconstruction included the implementation of the technologies providing barrier-free access to the station infrastructure for physically challenged people. The railway station “Ryazan II” was commissioned two months ahead of schedule.
