Forbes Russia published the ranking of the best museums in the world, Europe, and Russia in 2014. The top 10 is headed by the Hermitage (St. Petersburg).
The former palace of Russian emperors and one of the most visited modern museums in the world is the best in Russia and Europe and was included into the top three of world leaders. The 4th place among the best Russian museums was unexpectedly taken be the submarine B-413 moored at the Istoricheskogo Flota Emankment (“Embankment of the Historic Fleet”) of the World Ocean Museum.
The Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery and the Armoury Chamber are ahead, and the Russian Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin and the Diamond Treasury are left behind. The top ten is closed by the Ethnographic Museum-Reserve “Kizhi”. As the press service of the World Ocean Museum reports, the Traveler’ Choice awards are given to the best tourist objects of the world, according to the analysis of millions of reviews & opinions of the users of TripAdvisor. The selection of the winner involves quantity and quality of reviews of museums around the world over the last 12 months. According to the fans of traveling, the submarine B-413 is the object that must be visited, if you come to the westernmost region of Russia.
