Monument to Victims of Political Repressions to Appear in Moscow

Following the last sitting of the Presidential Council for Human Rights such a monument will be set up in Moscow.

Most of the officials and human rights activists discussing this project consider the Academician Sakharov Avenue to be the best place for the memorial. However, the final decision has not been taken yet.

According to Mikhail Fedotov, the chairman of the Human Rights Council, the monument might be ready next year.
